2014 was a great year for Inferno Dance Choreography! Our amazing choreographers
produced 3 National Titles, 8 Top Five Finishes and 13 Finalists at NDA Collegiate
Nationals. Inferno Dance was able to choreograph 27 of the 100 routines competing
at Nationals this year, and we were lucky enough to work with the following college
and high school teams at both NDA and UDA in 2013-2014:
Laura King, Director & Master Choreographer
Laura King is the President and Master Choreographer of Inferno Dance. She has been
choreographing professionally for over 10 years. She is currently one of the coaches
and the choreographer for the Towson University Dance Team. She has helped this team
win 8 out of their 13 National Titles! She has choreographed for many nationally
recognized teams such as Penn State Lionettes, Sam Houston University, Valdosta State
University, George Mason University, The College of New Jersey, Linn-Mar High School,
Archbishop Spalding High School, Parkland High School, and the list goes on! She has
choreographed for UDA providing both high school and elite material. She also choreographs
for dance studios all over the country providing anywhere from recital routines to large
production competition pieces. Laura was trained in and now choreographs jazz, hip hop,
pom, kick, modern, contemporary, musical theatre, lyrical, tap, and ballet styles.
Choreographing has been Laura’s passion for many years and she loves bringing her visions
to life when working with such wonderful dancers!
Julie Berardi, Master Choreographer
Julie Berardi is a Master Choreographer at Inferno Dance. Julie has performed and studied dance for the last 20
years. She received a highly technical and ballet-centered training at Oxford Center for Dance (PA) under the
direction of Dina Gazzero and at Mid-Atlantic Ballet Company (DE) under the direction of Sara Taylor Neal. Julie
is also trained in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, modern, tap and hip-hop.
Julie earned her undergraduate degree at Penn State University and spent four years on the Division 1A, nationally
ranked Penn State Lionettes Dance Team. As a member of the Lionettes Dance Team, Julie performed for crowds of
110,000 and competed at NDA Collegiate Nationals in Daytona, FL for four years. She was a member of DC’s Capitol
Movement Project Company which performs annually at the Kennedy Center. Julie also coached and choreographed for
the Marymount University Dance Team and for Archbishop Spalding High School Dance Team. Additionally, Julie
continues to teach a variety of styles at local studios in the Northern Virginia/DC area. Julie has choreographed
for multiple dance teams and studios and has had the recent privilege to choreograph for Penn State University,
Sam Houston State University, Central Michigan University, South Dakota State University, Barton College, Radford
University, Syracuse University, University of Nebraska Omaha, Lakeridge High School, Woodbridge High School and
Melissa Compian was born and raised in Houston, Texas where she studied ballet, jazz, lyrical,
contemporary and hip hop at several different studios from age 6 until she graduated high school.
She attended Sam Houston State University where she studied dance under the direction of Jenifer
Pontius, Andy Noble, Dionne Noble, and Dana Nicolay. Melissa graduated Cum Laude with a BFA in
Dance from Sam Houston State University in May, 2013. While at SHSU, Melissa had the privilege of
studying with Rednerrus Feil Dance Company, Dominic Walsh Dance Theatre, The Houston Met Dance
Company and Paul Taylor 2. She was a member of the SHSU Orange Pride Dance Team throughout college
and was captain of the team in 2012 and 2013. The Orange Pride Dance Team won the NDA Collegiate
National Championship Title in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. Melissa was employed by National Dance
Alliance for 3 years throughout college. This experience gave her the opportunity to perform and
teach high school and collegiate dance teams across the nation. She is now employed with Inferno
Dance where she has had the opportunity to work with teams such as Mt. Notre Dame HS, Stevenson
University, Calvert HS, Broken Arrow, and McClean High School to name a few!
Kelli Fields, Master Choreographer
Kelli Fields has been choreographing for dance teams and studios for over 5 years and has
been with Inferno Dance for almost 2 years. From 2005-2010, she was the head coach
of the Valdosta State University Red Hots, 4 time NDA Collegiate National Champions,
choreographing and coaching the team. Kelli has also choreographed for other successful
teams, such as, The College of New Jersey, Nettleton High School, Eastlake High School,
and many others. Winning choreography, grand champion, and numerous first place awards
at studio and all-star dance competitions has also shown the success of Kelli’s ability to work
with all types of dancers. Training for 13 years in ballet, jazz and tap in her hometown studio
in Georgia provided the foundation for Kelli’s dance experience. She received a BFA in
Theater with Dance Emphasis from Valdosta State University, and became a certified dance
instructor through Dance Educators of America’s training program. This has given Kelli the
tools needed to continue choreographing professionally. Dance has always been Kelli’s passion
and choreographing allows her to share that with dancers all over the country. She specializes in
jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, hip-hop, pom, and kick.
Sara Murray was born and raised in Dallas, Texas where she studied ballet, jazz, lyrical,
contemporary and hip hop at several different studios from age 6 until she graduated high
school. She attended Kilgore College for one year where she majored in dance under the
direction of Kathy Beckman and Shelly Wayne, then transferred to Sam Houston State University
to pursue her degree further. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance
from Sam Houston State University in May, 2011.
While at SHSU, Sara had the privilege of studying with Rednerrus Feil Dance Company, Dominic
Walsh Dance Theatre, The Houston Met Dance Company and Paul Taylor 2. She was also a member
of the SHSU Orange Pride Dance Team for 3 years, winning the NDA National Championship Title
in both 2010 and 2011. Sara was employed by the National Dance Alliance, giving her the

nation. Sara has choreographed for teams such as UMass Amherst, Stevenson University, Calvert
High School, McLean High School, Radford University and James Madison University.
Taylor Walker, Master Choreographer
Taylor Walker recently relocated to the Miami area from New York where she danced
professionally since 2006. She has danced back-up for Flo Rida as well as Pitbull
at the Premio Lo Nuestro Awards. She can be spotted as a lead dancer and "Yacht Girl"
in Pitbull and Ariannas' new video "Sexy People" as well as a Cheerleader in the new
McDonalds commercial “Best Of” Featuring Lebron James. Taylor has been cast in
numerous TV commercials and print campaigns including: Nike for Xbox Kinect, Atlantis
Resort and Casino, Belk Department Stores, Fitness Magazine, Ford Fusion, KFC, Office
Depot, Babies R' Us and Wal-Mart. Taylor was the Assistant Coach of the Hofstra
University Dance Team, as well as choreographer for numerous NDA competitive collegiate
dance teams. Taylor's professional dance credits include being a dancer and captain of
the New Jersey Nets Dancers, a team within the NBA. She was a featured dancer in the
original 'Step up' movie, a backup dancer for Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards,
and she has danced on Saturday Night Live and at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
Taylor was one of ten NBA dancers to be selected for a pictorial in the highly coveted
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, and has also been featured in Dance Spirit and Ultimate
Athlete Magazines. She was the winner of the 2013 Wilhelmina nation-wide fitness model
search, and is now a signed Wilhelmina Model in New York. Taylor has tried her chops at
broadcasting in which she was featured on E! News Now and did various media pieces for
MSG Varsity and Ultimate Athlete Magazine. She runs a health and fitness blog at
